David A. Larson, M.S.

David has been a licensed psychologist in
Minnesota for over 20 years. A therapist and an entrepreneur, he developed three successful businesses including two mental health clinics and a residential property management corporation.
Dave has been serving the Southern Minnesota area and the upper Midwest since 1980. After completing post graduate training in Texas, and working with youth and their families in New Zealand and Papua New Guinea, Dave returned to Minnesota to address the counseling and family life education needs of families in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa. He currently serves as director of the Institute For Wellness.
David co-authored the Freeborn County Domestic Abuse, Intervention and Treatment Program for domestic abuse perpetrators in 1981-82. In the mid 80s Dave developed a comprehensive treatment program for sexual abuse victims, which provided individual and group psychotherapy services for both victims of sexual abuse and partners of abuse.
David has received training from both the Coaches Training Institute and Coach University.
He received his certification from the Coaches Training Institute in 2001. He has coached bank executives, fund raisers, pastors, medical teams, nurses, program directors, counselors, mothers, fathers, students, home business builders, and social service personnel. He has coached government workers, presidents and vice presidents of companies, auto sales people, musicians, computer programmers, and others from a variety of professions.

David is the author of the acclaimed
anxiety management e-book, How To Stop Your Anxiety Now!, which
has been sold in 38 countries on 5 continents.
He also writes the "Power For Living" newsletter published
monthly by the Institute For Wellness.

David is committed to doing whatever it takes to help his clients reach their goals.
On a more personal level, David organized the Harmony Junction Barbershop Chorus in 1981 and served as its charter president. He has also served on the Board of Directors for Minnesota Festival Theater, Project Charlie, and two local churches.
David leads portions of the Parents Are
Forever program, which assists divorcing parents and their children in
adjusting to a new life. He has been a group leader annually for the Freeborn County United Way fund drive
since 1989.
David loves reading, golfing, biking, traveling, roller blading, walking and writing.
